HOSTI International is Europe's leading manufacturer of disposable cardboard tableware. Hosti International manufactures around two million paper plates and bowls per year – and more than half of these are made of renewable raw materials (wood fibres). The product range stretches from currywurst plates and party plates, party collections including napkins, cups and serving trays, to feeding bowls for pets. The company was founded in 1949 by Emil Stickel under the name Hohenloher Papptellerfabrik in Untersöllbach, Neuenstein, Germany. In 1953 the company relocated to Pfedelbach. Since 1979, it has used the brand name Hosti to market its products. At the turn of the year 1983/84, production was moved to the company's newly constructed buildings in the Pfedelbach industrial area. 2002 saw the introduction of the ISO 9001: 2000 quality certification. In 2003 the company changed its name to HOSTI International GmbH. In 2006 the ISO 14001: 2004 environmental certification was introduced.
