Our hydraulic presses are manufactured in accordance with German machinery directives, European machinery directives (2006/42/EC), EC standards and EU safety regulations. Our presses also exceed the Canadian and European safety requirements since they correspond to the national Brazilian machinery safety directive NR 12. Predominantly hydraulic components from European manufacturers are integrated in the hydraulics system. Our main strength is specialised mechanical engineering and press automation. We sell custom hydraulic presses at surprisingly good prices in accordance with your specifications in various designs, e.g. spotting presses, double-column presses, open-front presses (C-frame presses), column presses. A number of our presses are already in use in Germany and the rest of Europe to the satisfaction of our customers. BIRKAN GmbH is one of the oldest graphical stockists in Germany. It was founded in 1924 as a distributor of printing blankets, under the name Birkner & Kandlbinder OHG, with its own patent for Triumph rubber printing blankets ‒ revolutionary technology at the time. BIRKAN continues to enjoy success with its offset printing blankets, produced in-house and exported to over 100 countries worldwide. BIRKAN carries a comprehensive range of printing blankets to meet different quality requirements, suitable not only for common offset applications but also for specialised requirements in plastics, metal and intaglio printing. Our range also includes underpacking materials (sheets, foils, press boards and blankets) and measuring equipment. Our extensive inventory allows us to deliver promptly around the world. As a special service, BIRKAN also provides the option of a commissioning warehouse. A new branch of the company ‒ direct laser engraving ‒ is devoted to manufacturing elastomer printing plates.
